Currently e-tourist visa valdity according to visa type as one year, one month and 5 year

• e-medical visa allowed for 60 days.
• e-business visa for 180 days.

• Urgent e visa validity -180days.

You can apply for tourist e visas only at Indian e-Visa Application Center or through e-visa India or at an Indian mission outside India. In other words, it is not possible to get a new visa while being in India.

If you consider to extend your visa validity then you have to apply in 60 in advance before expiry of visa.

You can’t extend your visa validity once you enter in India but in some case like special cases, such as medical emergencies, accidents, someone stole your passport or other personal documents, etc. In case this applies to you, but visitor can extend their e-visa via e-FRRO or by submit visa extension facility online.

Usually, India Govt.will give out an extension of 14 days maximum . Documents you will need:

– two passport photos;

– your passport (or another travel document in case your passport got stolen)

– letter from the hospital (in case you are having a medical emergency).
